Sat 10/12

TB goes long this week for an old Bubba favorite we haven’t done in a while.   Roll at 8:00 from Falling Water or jump on around 8:35 in Soddy at the corner of Hot Water and Back Valley  (we will not swing by the ballfields).     We’ll head north for a climb up Leggett, then all the way across the top to 30 and down for the Cranmore Cove loop.    Refill bottles at the church after Leggett and refuel at the store after Cranmore.    76 miles and 3800 feet from Falling, around 55 miles from Soddy.

Sat. 10/12

Talking about a slight chance of rain in the AM so we’ll keep it close to home if we need to dash for cover. Roll from Unum at 8:30. Over the toe for a Lookout Valley loop, back up Scenic Hwy to Sanders, down Ochs to Guild Trail Road and then we’ll cruise Chattanooga Valley. Lots of places to cut it short if we need to. 50 miles and 3,100 ft. Check the map for a couple of wrinkles. Back in plenty of time for Chattanooga Motorcar Festival and Oktoberfest.

Sat. 9/28

Okay, Oskar Blues opens soon so we need to hurry this up!

Big Bubba backslap to BeelzeBub for a great route last week with a sag!     (The fact there were only 2 waters but a case of Nattys in the cooler is a story for another day.)

Roll @ 8:00  this week from Falling Water for the Brayton Loop.   Metric plus and if you do the Hotwater kicker at the end it will get you 4000+ feet.

And speaking of hurrying up, get signed up for Sequatchie ride next weekend!   Shannondoah has put a good one together for us. https://cyclesequatchie.com/

Sat. 9/28

Nothing fancy this Saturday. Roll from the St. Elmo Food City at 8:30 and head south down Marble Top. Climb 136 and come back via Creek Rd. 50 miles and 3,400 ft. Pray for Boss. He was at Oskar Blues last night. No word since…

TB Sat 9/21

Roll from BubOne’s Estate on Burnt Mill Rd at 8:00 for a Cove Metric including a climb up Daughtery.   A metric and 4000 feet.   Bring a cooler of your favorite and a sandwich if you want to sit around at Bub’s post-ride and tell lies about all our accomplishments this season.

Sat. 9/21

Elites will roll from Falling Water at 8:30 and head north. We’ll climb Mtn. Road early down Hotwater and then out O’Sage to Armstrong, Lee, Daugherty Ferry, and back via Back Valley. Strongmen can climb Hotwater a 2nd time others follow me. 51 miles and 3,100 ft.

Sat. 9/7

Man in Black will be leading this Saturday. Roll from the St. Elmo Food City at 8:30. Head south down past Trenton on one of Fly’s favorite routes. Past the Southeast Lineman Training Center to Byrd’s Chapel. Back via Back Valley, up the short Sand climb, along the brow and down Hales Gap Rd. See map for details. 54 miles 3,600 ft. Can climb Lookout at the end if feeling frisky.

Sept 7

Roll from Falling Water @ 8:00.  Short warmup then climb Mtn Road.  Down Hotwater, Hixson Pike to Armstrong, then Lee Pike.  (Yes we know what is gonna happen when we see the yard with the big fence.). Left at the end and then we wind around to the bottom of Leggett and make our way back.  Let’s call it 58 miles and 3800 feet.  Strong men add a climb up Hotwater at the end to get to a metric and 4500.

Labor Day Weekend

We’ll be one big happy family over Labor Day. Elites will ride with TB Saturday and Monday (and if anyone wants to come up to the Pumpkin Patch on Signal Mountain Sunday too). Watch for Boss’s posts coming soon.

Labor Day Weekend

TB AND ELITES roll for a joint ride Saturday (8/31) @ 8:00 from Unum.     Old Three State Three Mountain metric course.     Regroup after Suck, at the bait shop (only store stop), and at the end of 299.    Those wanting more can follow BeelzeBub up Lookout to Sanders (yes, we know he’s goin’).    Post ride refueling again at the UJ where I understand a sign is now posted reading “No fluorescent compression socks.”  (003, really?)    A metric and 3700 feet.  Back before 12.  Map link below.

TB AND ELITES roll for the holiday ride Monday @ 8:30 from Unum.    Typical route up Missionary with a twist after Missionary to get to the battlefield since there’s some kind of parade.   (We know from Jacket’s altercation with the Shriner’s mini-cars during the Signal parade a few years ago, and the time the people threw things at us during the Soddy parade, that Bubba doesn’t do well in parades.)   Let’s call it 45 miles and 2500 feet.
