TB Bubba Sat. 7/20 and Events

Bubba will head north from Falling Water this weekend for a Montlake, Stormer, Lee, Armstrong Loop. Store stop at mile 34.8 and others. Roll at 8:30. Post-ride festivities at Monkeytown and/or the Suck Creek Cycle Anniversary Party.

Suck Creek Cycle 25th Anniversary Party, This Saturday
This Saturday, July 20th, we will be celebrating 25 years of serving the Chattanooga area with Bikes and Friendly Advice! Open house hours with reps to pester, raffle tickets to gather and some super sale prices on some great products from 8:30-3.

Prize give-aways from 3-4.
Music (featuring Andrew G. Witherspoon), food, frivolity, and camaraderie from 4-7.

Sat. 7/13

Elites will take the short way out. Temperature will not be fit to ride in by 11. 36 mile version but with 3,000 ft of climbing. Roll with TB at 8 from Steady’s Campground. See the map.

TB Saturday 7/13

It’s going to be blazing again this weekend, so we will start at 8:00 and try to get some climbing in early. Roll from Steady’s Campground for a trip up Nick-A-Jack and around the top of Lookout. There are plenty of ways to short if it gets too hot or you are short on time. Store stop at mile 33.5 on Hwy 136.

Great turnout today for Holiday Ride.

Elites will roll Saturday at 8:30 from the church on the right just past River Drifters and roll out Mullins Cove to Goat’s Bridge (mile 19.1) turn around and return. Right at 40 miles

4th of July Holiday Ride and TB Sat. 7/6

First, Bubba will head to Bub One and Sweetie’s house on Thursday for a holiday ride followed by festivities and shenanigans with BBQ, Bacondogs, sides, and blackberry cobbler. BYOB. The pool is open. I’m told swimsuits are recommended but not required. Friends and family are welcome to join.

On Saturday, Bubba will exchange some climbing for some mileage riding up the W, down the back of Signal, and back over Suck.

A few of the elite Elites will be out of town Saturday. That said, TB’s route is very doable, but if you want something shorter here’s a 40 miler that starts with TB, but then climbs Sand via the goat path, back down, and then across the bridge to South Pittsburgh and back. See map. Have fun.

TB Sat. 6/29

We will try something a little different and off the beaten path this week. Head to Haletown for a metric down to Stevenson, Alabama, and back up around Jasper. Store stops are available at miles 26.2, 38.7, and others. The start location is the gravel lot at the former Anchor Inn on Hwy 41 just off of I-24 Exit 161.

TB Sat. 6/22

Bubba will head west for a Ringgold to Cleveland metric. Roll at 8:00 to try to beat some of the heat. The start location is the old Waffle House at I-75 Exit 345, Ringgold/Tunnel Hill. We believe the Waffle House is closed for renovations and that we should be able to park there. Alternatively, there are several gas stations nearby. Park where you feel comfortable.

Elites will roll with TB at 8:30 and stay with them until the end of Murphy Hollow where we’ll turn left. From there right on Slygo to the Hang Gliderport and back Creek Rd. Can call it quits when we roll by Food City (36 miles) or continue south through St. Elmo and back on Burnt Mill for 46 miles. See map
