TB Sat (5/27) and Mon (5/29)

Saturday roll @ 8:30 from the St Elmo Food City for a Bubba favorite we’ll use to remember Daisy since it travels lots of the 3-state metric/century roads.   Over the toe, 299 (backwards from the 3S metric route), over Ladd, up the good road, and across the top of Sand via the 3S century route.   Usual regrouping points including the top of the hill on 299 after the truck stop, end of 299, other side of Ladd before the climb, and store on the left on top which is the refueling stop.   A metric and 3800 feet.   Here’s the map: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/40346849

Monday roll @ 9:00 from the St Elmo Food City for the Holiday route.  Remember this is a holiday (base) pace ride so if you are lookin’ to put the mustard on your hot dog early find another ride or carry a backpack full of rocks!   42 miles, 2600 feet.   Here’s the map: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/36208471

Have a good Memorial Day, Bubbas, and a Big Bubba thanks to all the vets!

TB Tuesday

Early Bubbas roll at 4:00 from Red Bank this week for the Hotwater loop.

‘Regular’ ride leaves at 5:30 as always.

Sat. 5/20

I’m not very optimistic about the weather so for that reason, Elite’s will mirror TB ride. Roll from Mike’s Hole in the Wall at 8am. See map for route. Easy to short by picking a spot on the map and waiting for TB to zoom by.

TB 5/20

UPDATE: TB ROLLS PROMPTLY AT 8:00!

Weatherman can’t make up his mind about tomorrow but fingers crossed the rain doesn’t move in until mid-day.   Roll from Mike’s Hole at 8:00 (Fly just got a wry smile on his face).   The plan is to head north (avoiding the ironman stuff downtown and south) via typical makeup ride roads, and climb Montlake to get a climb in early.   As mapped we’ll do the loop on top and then head back down Montlake home, but we’ll keep an eye on the radar.  Options include skipping the loop up top if the rain arrives early, or perhaps adding on by descending Hotwater if we have more time.   As mapped around 50 miles, 3500 feet.

Check back for updates depending on the rain.

TB TUESDAY

Early Bird Bubba Bash from JJ’s @ 4:30.  Roll from 3203 Ozark Circle. Map coming soon.  Post ride burgers  by JJ.  (Yippee for JJ!) Bring your own beverages.

‘Regular’ ride rolls at 5:30 from Red Bank.

Sat. 5/13

Option 1 – Mullins Cove out and back. Roll from Suck Creek Baptist Church at 9am. Bike of your choice but I’m taking the gravel bike. Road might still be a little damp. 45 miles.

Option 2 – Chase TB rolling at 8:30 from Falling Water.

Option 3 – Roll at 9am from St Elmo Food City for a ride to Mountain Cove and back led by Barry Allen and Steve Strain.

TB 5/13

This week TB gets back to the business of visiting old friends missed during all the cold/rain/wind.   Roll from Falling Water at 8:30 for a Bubba favorite as we head north via Old Dayton and Stormer for a climb up Leggett.   Descend Retro for a metric and around 3500 feet.

TB Tuesday 6/9

Early Bubbas roll this week at 4:00 from Red Bank for typical Tuesday loop up Hotwater.

Regular Tuesday rolls @ 5:30.

Sat. 5/6

Option 1 – Bluegrass ride (see TB post). While it’s a long ride, it’s worth seeing the Little River Canyon and then hanging out after the ride for some great bluegrass. Skip the climb and start from John Carrol’s House

Option 2 – The No Knucklheads are rolling at 9am from Tunnel Hill Park for a ride south to Subligna and back. Great rollers. See map for starting point. https://www.strava.com/routes/3061495821329920564

Option 3 – good luck to those that are doing the Hincapie Fondo. Have fun

TB 5/6 – BeezleBub Bluegrass!

It’s time for the BeezleBub Bluegrass Bubba Bash, and BeezleBub has selected the Little River Canyon route which is a Bubba favorite.   Roll @ 9:00 from the Cove.  70 miles, 5000 feet.   You can cut off the climb up Daughtery by starting at John Carroll’s on top.

BeezleBub will check the weather Sat morning and send out an email if there is a change in takeoff time.
